Rancid's Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman addressed the long-standing rumours that there would be reunion of Operation Ivy. In short:

I love what we did back then, but what we do now is move forward. To go back 20 years wouldn't feel right. I'm super proud of what we did then, a big part of me is in that band. But it's always about the future for me.

We're all still friends, we still talk to Dave [Mello] and Jesse [Michaels]," said Freeman. "But we were 21 in that band. I'm 43 now. I still really like the songs, though.

Rancid released Let the Dominoes Fall this year. Former Operation Ivy vocalist Jesse Michaels will release his debut EP with Classics of Love this year as well.
