Tim Millar, guitarist of Canada's Protest the Hero will be competing in the 2009 World Beard and Moustache Championships. The guitarist has been growing his beard for three years and will be at the event this Saturday, May 23 in Anchorage, Alaska..

He will be competing in the "Alaskan Whaler" category, and a film crew will be accompanying Tim as he and Beard Team Canada compete for the first time in this global event. Tim is currently planning to shave the bear when he returns in order to raise money (and hair) for Locks of Love. He is asking for donations to the charity via the Beard Team CAnada.
