In a recent blog posted by the band, it states that Story Of The Year are hard at work writing their second full length for Epitaph Records.

Guitarist Ryan Phillips stats:

Right now I am working overtime writing a new SOTY record!!! It's turning out really good.
I'm very happy with what's coming out. My brain is in a very interesting stage in my life
and it's interesting how that affects what music comes out of me. I'm very delighted to say
that I think this record is shaping up to be fucking great.

The band released The Black Swan in 2008.
