In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bill Gould, founding member and bassist of Faith No More has stated that the group is working on a new album, their first in 15 years. Gould is producing and recording the album in the band's Oakland rehearsal space. It is expected to be released in 2015.

On November 28, Black Friday Record Store day, the badn will release the LP's first single, "Motherfucker." The b-side will be a remix by J.G. Thirlwell.
