The Decemberists have launched a free download of their new track, "The Rake's Song." The song comes from the band's ambitious new album. The record is titled Hazards of Love and is due out March 24, 2009.

The band has noted that the record is a "17-song suite that demands to be listened to from
start to finish and reveals more with each subsequent play. It is
rooted in ancient language and imagery, yet entirely modern and
accessible."
