News of the World has posted an update on the status of the legendary Buzzcocks. After a lengthy and interesting look at their history, the article reveals some of the band's plans for 2009:

We're still here trying to make real music for real people. What's the alternative? Snow Patrol and Coldplay? They're not rock revolutionaries - they're Blue Peter presenters with guitars. You tend to be so busy writing, recording and playing gigs that you don't appreciate how much impact your music is having. It wasn't until Bruce Springsteen told me how much our music meant to him that I began to think about that stuff. It's crucial for us to keep going forward,

After a tour where the band will perform Another Music in a Different Kitchen and Love Bites in their entirety, the band will be preparing a new LP and follow up to 2006's Flat-Pack Philosophy.
