Everyone was in a mood to celebrate on Sunday night at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami. And while the party was ostensibly to welcome back Lil Wayne after an eight-month stint in prison on a gun charge, for the revelers it felt more like an awards-show red carpet.

"I just wanna celebrate with him, man," DJ Khaled said on his way into the Alfred I. DuPont building, where friends and family gathered for a chill reception/pre-party before heading to the more adult afterparty. "The music stuff? That's what we do for a living, so we always gonna work musically. But tonight's all about a celebration of Wayne."

Among the attendees were Wayne's mother and actress Lauren London (the mother of one of his children), as well as Nicki Minaj, Drake, Busta Rhymes, Streetrunner, Bow Wow, Jay Sean, Cool & Dre, Young Chris, Rico Love, Dow Jones, Waka Flocka Flame and Young Money members Lil Chuckee, Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz and Short Dawg.

"We went through this and our team is still stronger than ever," said a clearly excited Nicki Minaj, who got dolled up for the homecoming in a bright-pink hoodie and green cotton candy-colored wig. "To have him back, it's like, 'Wayne, we held you down while you were gone.' And I think that's the craziest thing, it's the most meaningful thing as a CEO to go away and have your team hold you down."

Nicki was not alone in offering thanks and praises for Weezy's return. Busta Rhymes described the vibe on the red carpet as akin to that of a major awards show. "It's gonna feel like us welcoming the return of a king," he said.

T-Pain said he couldn't wait to give his little homie a hug the moment he sees him. Fat Joe also walked the carpet, which was backed up thanks to major stars arriving in a cavalcade of custom wheels that included Rolls-Royces, Porsches, Range Rovers, Mercedes, Lamborghinis, Maybachs and Cash Money co-founder Baby's Bugatti.
