According to recently surfaced footage, Lil Wayne left the big house in high style. The superstar spitter was hustled out of Rikers Island on Thursday under the noses of the media and fans, but video of Wayne being released, caught by local news station NY1, shows the MC being chauffeured in a black Maybach. The station reports that Wayne was granted a special type of release away from Rikers Island for security reasons related to his status as a high-profile inmate.
Since Weezy's release, the MC has remained on the move. He left New York on Friday (November 5) and touched down in Yuma, Arizona to handle legal obligations stemming from a 2008 drug arrest. The superstar lyricist was spotted riding in a Black Ford Excursion that was part of a six-car caravan, and left the Yuma County Adult Probation center around 1:45 p.m. local time.
Hints about Wayne's weekend itinerary suggest the MC will be crossing several state lines and time zones in the days ahead. Drake has teased Wayne may appear at his Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour closing date in Las Vegas on Saturday. Wayne's ex-wife, Antonia "Toya" Carter, recently told MTV News a gathering of close friends and family may go down in Miami, and Young Money label chief Mack Maine said Wayne will live it up with a huge homecoming celebration at one of the city's strip clubs on Sunday.
