Exclaim is reporting that bluegrass label CMH Records and the Secret Life of Records have enlisted members of Black Flag to reinterpret and re-record their own material in different genres. The project will be titled Gimmie Gimmie Gimme: Reinterpreting Black Flag.

Set to arrive on April 20th, the record will feature Black Flag's Dez Cadena and Blondie's Jimmy Destri performing "Rise Above" and "Thirsty and Miserable." Dez and The Minutemen's Mike Watt will also tackle "Six Pack." Kira Roessler will join the Chapin Sisters for "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" and "Nervous Breakdown," while Keith Morris will perform a cover of Jimmie Rodgers' "In the Jailhouse Now" with Mike Watt, the Plimsouls' Peter Case, and Joe Baiza of Saccharine Trust.
