Nada Surf have announced a new covers album, the palindromic if i had a hi-fi. On it, the long-running band will be offering their take on songs from The Moodly Blues, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, The Soft Pack and others. The album will first be available on the band's upcoming tour, which kicks off on March 25 with three 'album shows' in New York City - which will see the band perform their three most recent full-lengths (2008's Lucky, 2005's The Weight Is A Gift and 2003's Let Go) on three separate nights, along with other selections from the band's catalogue.
