The soundtrack has been announced for the upcoming reboot of the Tony Hawk gaming franchise. Dubbed Ride, the game takes a similar approach to the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series and uses an approximation of a real skateboard for a controller.

For the soundtrack, the publisher EA, lined up a typically punk-heavy soundtrack featuring music from Beatsteaks,

Modest Mouse,

Norma Jean,
Revolution Mother,
Russian Circles,
Spinnerette,
Superchunk,
The Black Keys,
The Bronx,

The Stooges,
TV On The Radio and
Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The game is due out November 17, 2009. On the 18th, this editor will break his coffee table.
